Toyota teases another Prius MPV image
7 passenger Prius leaks closer to reality
I sometimes wonder whether automakers are truly automakers anymore, or marketers that happen to make cars. It started with the Chevy Volt and years of endless marketing before release, but the Volt was kind of a unique product. Nevertheless, everyday some automaker is teasing a photo or leaking a spy shot – or even setting up a blog – regarding some upcoming vehicle, sometimes before such vehicles have even been approved for production.
Toyota has also joined that bandwagon, and here’s the latest interior shot of the upcoming MPV version of the Toyota Prius.
It’s a nice update. Blah. Blah. Blah. Why not pictures of a new lithium battery pack for instance? Tease out something innovative at least.
For once, instead of teaser shots and marketing spin, I’d love to see an automaker accidentally tease an internal memo regarding a major price decrease on a battery-powered vehicle. Now that would be hype worthy.

For most auto makers it’s all about the hype, marketing and teasing the consumers; some are even taking it to social media such as Facebook, etc.
About that teaser shot, that instrument cluster/dashboard looks pretty nice actually which is a bit surprising. I think it looks nicer than the Benz one actually, which look a bit homely with the huge tuner graphic for the radio.
