The Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic hybrid are the best hybrid vehicles according to the Union of Concerned Scientists, followed by the Lexus CT200h and the Lincoln MKZ hybrids in the luxury segment.

The Prius still leads the hybrid pack.

Based on fuel economy, greenhouse gas emissions and ‘forced’ options

In the market for a quality hybrid? One that offers great fuel economy, significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and doesn’t force too many expensive options compared to base gasoline versions?

Then think Toyota Prius or Honda Civic hybrid according to the Union of Concerned Scientists.

In the luxury segment, the best hybrid vehicles are the Lexus CT 200h and the Lincoln MKZ hybrid.

The Cadillac Escalade hybrid, Lexus RX 450h hybrid and the Toyota Highlander hybrid received ‘good’ ratings as well, while most sport utility hybrids, such as the Chevy Tahoe hybrid and Volkswagen Touareg hybrid received ‘poor’ marks.
