Prius keeps Toyota a top automaker according to Consumer Reports
Toyota third best all around automaker
Based on Consumer Reports testing and predicted reliability, Toyota is the 3rd best all around automaker, falling just behind Honda and Subaru respectively.
Additionally, the Toyota Prius was one of 3 top picks for the world’s largest automaker.
Overall, Toyota has to be feeling pretty good. Despite massive recalls, Toyota’s overall quality remains strong and the Prius continues to be a very bright spot for the automaker. And considering the Prius family is expanding, as gas prices appear to be moving higher for some time, Toyota seems well positioned.

I think Ford has extremely interesting hybrid plans and I agree they appear to be the one to possibly beat Toyota. I thought Hyundai might do it, but they are still focused too much on highway performance in the Sonata hybrid.
Still, can you beat the Prius, or just match it? It really is an impressive vehicle when you lack at the whole picture.
It also is extremely reliable with very little maintenance needed over its life.
Aww, Ford, c’mon and pick up the slack already. You can make a car better than Toyota, I just know it.
GM, you can suck my balls…
