Best Values: Fusion hybrid v Camry hybrid

While 91 percent of Fusion hybrid consumers would buy another Fusion hybrid, the Toyota Camry hybrid is a Better Value according to Consumer Reports.91 percent would buy again

The Ford Fusion hybrid topped the Toyota Prius in the Consumer Reports 'Buy Again' category. 91 percent of Fusion hybrid buyers would buy again, while 88 percent of Prius buyers would buy again.

Interestingly, however, according to Consumer Report's testing, the Camry hybrid and the Fusion hybrid both average about 34 mpg, despite the EPA's higher fuel economy rating for the Fusion hybrid. Still, both hybrid cars offered Top 10 fuel economy.

Ultimately, the Camry hybrid came in as CR's 10th Top Value, ahead of the Fusion hybrid, which did not make the Top 10.

Toyota Prius a Best Value according to Consumer Reports

Despite all the bad press, the Toyota Prius picked up numerous awards from Consumer Reports and achieved CR's 2nd Best Value Award.Brake glitch not much of an issue?

"Recent recalls nonwithstanding", Toyota still placed 3rd on Consumer Report's reliability, value and performance ratings, and the Prius helped lead the way.

Of all cars tested, the Prius achieved the Best Fuel Economy while also being named a Best Overall Safety pick in the small car segment, making the Prius CR's Top Green Pick. Additionally, 88 percent of Prius consumers would still buy another Prius.

Fusion hybrid, Prius: Consumer Reports Buy Again Vehicles

Two hybrid cars are Consumer Reports top 5 buy again vehicles. The Fusion hybrid came in at number 2, while the Prius came in at number 5.Would you buy your car again?

Every year Consumer Reports asks its subscribers if they would buy their car again.

Pretty much every year, the Toyota Prius is one of the top 'buy again' vehicles, as it was again this year, coming in at number 5. But the Prius wasn't the top hybrid on this year's list.

Coming in at number 2 was the Ford Fusion hybrid.

Perhaps that helps explain why the Prius and the Fusion hybrid are the top two selling hybrid cars in the US?

Consumer Reports - Hybrids very reliable

Hybrid cars are still some of the most reliable vehicles available in America.A big winner according to Consumer Reports

Looking for a safe family car? Then you might want to consider a number of hybrid cars, at least if you believe in Consumer Reports.

The Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius scored extremely well according CR, followed by the Ford Fusion hybrid, the Mercury Milan hybrid, the Toyota Camry hybrid, and the Nissan Altima hybrid.

Overall, Asian automakers are still the most reliable automakers, but Ford has made huge gains that put most of its products on par with the best of the best. Chrysler and GM, on the other hand, still have work to do.

Ford Escape hybrid: The Best American Car

Based on Consumer Reports, Hybridcarblog.com picks the Ford Escape hybrid as the best American car.A Consumer Reports favorite

CNN has a feature Best American Cars based off of the Consumer Reports best new car values, but for those only interested in American cars.

Anyway, the Ford Escape hybrid ranked Best Small SUV and Greenest because it "gets best fuel economy of any SUV Consumer Reports has ever tested."

Since it's the only hybrid on the list, that makes the Escape hybrid the Hybridcarblog pick for Best American car.

I can't wait until Ford is capable of making more than 25,000 of these hybrid vehicles. Its sucks that so few are able to purchase such a great American car.

Two Toyota hybrids on Consumer Reports Best of 2007

Highlander hybrid was a top pick

The Toyota Prius received the best mileage ever for a 5 passenger vehicle and was picked as the Best Green Car. In addition, Consumer Reports highly recommends the rearview camera.

One of Toyota's other hybrid cars, the Highlander hybrid was picked as the Best SUV over $30,000. While the 2007 Highlander hybrid was picked by Consumer Reports, CR still suggested waiting until the 2008 Highlander hybrid is released later this year.
