Infiniti: Challenging everything about luxury hybrids
Mating performance and efficiency
Infiniti wants to challenge everything you know about luxury hybrids, at least that was the message at the LA Show where Infiniti claimed the M35 hybrid would be the first true performance luxury hybrid.
What’s that mean? 360 horsepower and yet 30 mpg on the highway.
Thus, the Infiniti M35 hybrid represents Infiniti’s new “eco performance” strategy.
Anyway, can’t say I’m excited by the design of the M35. Seems dated. Perhaps Infiniti should have borrowed some of the design language expressed in the Nissan Ellure hybrid concept.
Not a ton of new details revealed in LA, however, Infiniti didn’t state that the M35 hybrid could travel up to 1 mile on its lithium-ion battery pack, up to speeds of 62 mph. So, hopefully, the M35 will return even more impressive city fuel economy numbers.

The Infiniti M is such a beautiful car. I can hardly believe that it really is a hybrid. Green cars normally are small and ugly and have no interior to impress me. But the Infiniti M is different.
