Deals still available on the Toyota Camry hybrid
A Toyota hybrid below MSRP
Since the launch of the Ford Fusion hybrid and the Hyundai Sonata hybrid, the Toyota Camry hybrid has been ridiculed by many as the least fuel efficient hybrid in its segment, at least based on EPA numbers. Unfortunately, the EPA doesn’t have the best record for assessing real world fuel economy. For instance, Consumer Reports found little difference between the real world fuel economy of the Camry and Fusion hybrids.
And that could be an important consideration for hybrid buyers, as deals on the Camry hybrid are still available.
One of my local dealerships, for instance, is offering $750 cash back, 1.9 percent financing or special lease offers on the Camry hybrid.
Likewise, compared to the Toyota Prius that is selling only for MSRP, there is still room for negotiation on a Camry hybrid.
Ultimately, if you’re an urban commuter beholden to the freeway and a good bit of congestion, the Camry hybrid churns out solid fuel economy in its class. More important, considering the bargaining potential, the Camry hybrid is worth a look if you’re in the market for a hybrid sedan.

I would prefer Prius over the camry hybrid, which could save me some more bucks on the pump.
