2012 Lexus GS 450h hybrid 30 percent more fuel efficient

The 2012 Lexus GS 450h hybrid will be about 30 percent more fuel efficient.

Respectable fuel economy for this much power and luxury

Almost 30 mpg

Yesterday, Toyota released final details regarding the 2012 Lexus GS 450h hybrid at the Frankfurt Auto Show, and easily the most interesting takeaway is the 30 percent improvement in fuel economy.

With the update, the 450h luxury hybrid will achieve almost 30 mpg combined.

With an electric motor in each rear wheel coupled to a 3.5 liter V-6, the GS hybrid offers 338 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 in about 5.6 seconds.

Overall, the Lexus CT 200h and the RX 450h are the top selling Lexus hybrids, and while this improvement in fuel economy is significant, those two Lexus hybrid cars will probably remain the top sellers.

Still, if you’re a fan of the GS hybrid, then this nice improvement in fuel economy should have you licking your lips.
