Recall can't slow Toyota Prius sales

The Toyota Prius continues to increase sales. What recall?

US Toyota Prius sales jumped 27 percent in March compared to last year, as Toyota sold 11,786 units.

Overall, Toyota sold 16,714 hybrid vehicles in March.

I guess that pretty much sums up the lack of Prius sale's incentives since the recalls.

Go Toyota ! Good to see sales are coming back. Don't be intimidated by the bullying/unfair targeting of Toyota by US lawmakers- I am not a cospiracy theorist, but there are many politicians who would gain if Toyota fails - figure it out. Recently got 60+ mpg in my 2010 prius!!

Toyota and others knew they were having issues and attempted to hide it. All Car Companies should have came forward with a full disclosures of what car were dangerous. Instead of waiting for a huge media blitz and tons of public pressure. I never seen so many car companies GM - NISSAN - TOYOTA - HYUNDAI having recalls all at the same time. I had no idea my car was affected until I looked on http://www.car-recalls.info and found I had a bad Anti Lock control unit on my 2008 Pontiac G8 , my co workers Ford Truck had a recall also. So be careful

No good deal in the short term, Noz. Toyota is doubling production of its hybrids next year, and most of that increase will be Prius production. From there until 2020 Toyota will be doubling production a few more times and that will mean cheaper prices, unless gas prices skyrocket permanently.

At this point, I'd rather buy something else.

The Leaf, etc..hell even a Fiesta...

The Prius isn't worth the markup.

I think the Prius is worth MSRP, it's just that you can't really get a 'base' Prius. Even the base Prius comes with a lot of extra technology, but its not all technology most really need. That's the real problem with Prius pricing, in my opinion.
