Incentives for hybrid buyers
Even some deals on the Prius?For the last several months Honda has offered the best deals for hybrid shoppers, but for those not interested in a Honda hybrid, the hybrid bargains haven't been as plentiful.
Last night, however, I stopped by my local Toyota dealership and found several hybrid specials, even on the Toyota Prius. For instance I could lease a package 2 Prius for $249 month, or receive a $500 rebate or 0 percent financing on a Camry hybrid.
Anyone else been shopping hybrid cars recently?

Yes, I've been looking. The problem with the Prius deal is that it only includes Prius II models that are sitting on a dealer's lot, and you must have Tier 1+ credit. That excludes a lot of buyers, including me.
Yeah. There's always a catch.
Still, last month even that Prius deal didn't exist at my dealership. Thus, I at least have a little hope that more incentives on Toyota hybrids might be necessary.
The Prius, however, is going to be a tough one. With the way its selling in Japan, the US market isn't so critical at the moment.
