Fusion hybrid one of 3 hybrids on Forbes listThree hybrid cars made the Forbes list of best autos for highway commuting. The Ford Fusion hybrid, the Toyota Camry hybrid and the Honda Civic hybrid were picked for their high Consumer Report's rankings, highway fuel efficiency, legroom and headroom.

How about that.
A "commuter" car with 4 doors and room for 5 passengers.
That a big switch from the days when folks would get a Geo Metro as a commuter car.
That is the difference that hybrid technology brings to the table....
And this is Forbes. I'm not sure they ever heard of the Metro.

So... How'd the Insight-II get passed over? It's inexpensive, fun to drive, and has great highway mileage.
no reasons given. the prius also was not on the list. i believe both are seen as a little less comfortable in the minds of Forbes.
The hybrid cars are looking great. I can't wait to own one.
