Honda CR-Z hybrid takes new shape
Can you see CRX?Here's the latest look at the Honda CR-Z hybrid that will go on sale in the US in August.
Honda has previously announced that the new CR-Z hybrid will largely utilize the same hybrid powertrain as the Insight, but there will be a few changes. Most interesting is the three drive modes: normal, sport and economy. The new Sport mode will enhance throttle responsiveness, power steering and electric motor assist - enabling a more sporty experience in this hybrid package.
In terms of fuel economy, the manual models should achieve about 31 mpg city/37 mpg highway, while the CVT models will achieve about 36 mpg city/38 mpg highway.

I am utterly disappointed by the mileage listed for the CR-Z. Honda can go jump off a cliff as far as I'm concerned. They aren't even close to competing with what Toyota will be bringing out in the next few years. I think Honda is missing a much wider group of consumers with the way they've nitched the CR-Z.
Key features of the new concept include the over-sized grill and aggressive wedge shape, centrally mounted dual exhaust pipes and a rear glass hatch. Other design details included in the CR-Z are the electronic side-mirrors, LED headlights and 19in alloys.
i think this car is one of the best hybrid, but the price not too low...for me..

robby-d,
Cannot agree more. It is disappointment all around:
1) It is no sportier than Camry Hybrid or Fusion Hybrid
2) It is smaller than both of the cars, but mileage is not better!
A friend of mine also tested Hybrid Honda Insight recently: it was a total disappointment too. Honda sucks.
those numbers aren't official, but they will probably be ball park numbers.
inevitably, honda needs a serious upgrade to its hybrid powertrain.
i don't see any way around that.
