Best hybrid deals for 2010
Escape to the best deal after tax credits and discountsThe Truth blog has carried out some analysis on hybrid vehicles that offer the greatest discount off MSRP for 2010. Not surprisingly, the hybrids that still qualify for federal tax credits fill out most of the Top 10 list.
After tax credits and discounts, Ford Escape hybrid buyers can save 14 percent off MSRP for a price of $26,306. The Nissan Altima hybrid came in a second with a price of $23,795, 13.5 percent off MSRP.

There are three facets to consider in evaluating a gasoline-electric hybrid: the underlying vehicle itself, the hybrid system and the mileage.
These particular "deals" are exclusively about percent off MSRP.
If the MSRP is too high to begin with, then does percent off equate to the best deal?
I agree withn Dahcredyns. If the vehicle costs $100k (hello, Tesla.), you could take 40% off the MSRP but you're still paying $60k for a car. Waaaaay too high...
Its good if you can get something off on the MSRP. Hybrid cars can be really costly. But keeping in mind the help to the environment, they need to be produced in large numbers.
