Trouble for Aptera?
Will it be built?There are rumors that the board of Aptera has ousted the founders of Aptera, but thus far the company is denying the claim. The founders have, however, taken some vacation time to help with cash burn, as the company's financial troubles mount.
While the Aptera 2e is close to finished, mass production of the vehicle is beginning to look dependent upon government fuel efficiency loans, such as Tesla, for instance, recently received.

I sure hope the Aptera makes it to production. While it is certainly a radical departure from 'the norm' it is an excellent example of how aerodynamic styling can lead to better fuel economy. It is so refreshing to see something besides a box on 4 wheels that just gets new headlights and a trunk that we call a new model.
Someday when [and if] they actually start selling them in Arizona I would love to own one.
