Toyota hybrid sales up 10.9 percent
Led by the PriusIn October Toyota sold 18,757 hybrid vehicles, up 10.9 percent over the same period last year according to the company.
The Prius posted October sales of 13,496 units, up 10.3 percent over the year-ago month.
Interestingly, Toyota light truck sales were down 10 percent.
Is fuel efficiency coming back in vogue?

Couple of questions:
If I remember correctly, Toyota was having inventory issues last year, limiting their sales. Did those continue through October?
Also. The October data is all "Post-Clunkers" right?
I think its all post clunker.
Toyota is still having some inventory problems. There isn't a lot of selection and you have to take what's on the lot.
Looking for a specific color, package, etc. - or having to order - could take several months.
In Japan its even worse.
