MotorTrend critical of Honda Insight

While the Honda Insight is up for MotorTrend's Car of the Year, early review by the MT staff has been critical. In need of a few refinements?

The Honda Insight is one of 23 vehicles up for MotorTrend's 2010 Car of the Year, but this probably won't be the Year of the Insight. Below are a few notes from the MotorTrend staff.

“The Insight falls shockingly short on engine refinement, structural composure, and general driving satisfaction,” says St. Antoine. Markus notes, “The ride is mighty jiggly on choppy roads. Makes the car feel like an econobox, not a specialty vehicle (like Prius).” Loh observes, “Rear seat is a joke. A bad one. Unfunny.” At times, though, it was even fun to drive.

This probably doesn't bode well for the soon to be released CR-Z unless Honda learns a few quick lessons.

Honda wouldn't be as successful as it has been if it didn't learn from its mistakes. So, I'm not going to write off the CR-Z just yet.

Honda is such a brand that not only tops the new car sell but used cars also, but such technical issue could harm it in it's near future. I am sure that no soon it will overcome these issues.
