Hybrid cars 30 percent of Toyota sales by 2020
Just the beginningBy 2020 Toyota will offer a hybrid option on every vehicle it sells, according to Takeshi Uchiyamada, Toyota executive vice-president in charge of product development.
Currently, hybrid cars represent 8 percent of all Toyota vehicles, largely led by the Prius hybrid. However, by 2020 Toyota expects that hybrids will make up 30 percent of all vehicle sales.
Still, don't expect the majority of them to be plug-in hybrids, Toyota's bearish view of plug-ins seems still intact. Uchiyamada noted “We don’t think electric vehicles will spread that fast.”

Considering that only one of Toyota's hybrids cost under $30k (the majority being $50k-$100k Lexus models), I don't see how they're going to get 30% market share on hybrids anytime soon.
and i'm sure that toyota knows that without adding new hybrid products, especially cheaper hybrid products, there is no chance.
so, if toyota is to achieve this goal, it will be achieved with many new hybrids and more cost-effective hybrid pricing.
moreover, thus far, toyota has been pretty accurate with their hybrid predictions, so i'll bet toyota comes very close to achieving these numbers.
