Production-ready CR-Z hybrid

Honda CR-Z hybrid almost production ready.Time for a sporty hybrid?

As the Toyota Auto Show draws near, Honda has dropped some new details on its almost production-ready 2010 CR-Z hybrid.

Honda's sporty new hybrid will be powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC + IMA hybrid powertrain, coupled with a 6-speed manual shifter that should provide a lot more power and response than any of Honda's current hybrid vehicles.

Likewise, the CR-Z will offer a shorter wheel base than the Insight hybrid, as well as a much sportier suspension that should enable this hybrid to feel, well, less like a hybrid and more like a sports car.

The Honda CR-Z hybrid: You can have your cake and eat it to?

i've said it before, but if Honda prices this right, i believe it could sell quite well.

Dahc,
Yes, but it is all unofficial yet.

Well, this vehicle goes on sale in Japan in February and, supposedly, this 'concept' is 95 percent finalized.

So, it seems it can't get a whole lot more official. Certainly, there could still be some big surprises, but why? Why show a very different concept version of a car in Tokyo that is supposed to go on sale in Tokyo in just a few more months?

I'm lazy. I was hoping for automatic, but the CR-Z just may force me to try manual transmission again. Argg!!!!!!
