For a while Nissan has planned to launch its own proprietary hybrid drive in some luxury vehicles, such as the Infinity M. However, new reports indicate that Nissan will also mate their new hybrid drive into a number of other small and medium sized vehicles as well.
While Nissan has been a bit of hybrid naysayer, it appears that Nissan is beginning to sing a different tune on hybrid cars.
Nissan has for years lagged behind almost every manufacturer in durability and especially engine technology. Their engines still dont even offer dual variable valve technology that was offered on Toyota years ago. Its virtually the last manufacturer to even mention, oh yea, mmmm that hyrbid stuff, mmm I think we can do that. And then when the do get a clue of what the public is asking for (a compact under20k full hybird)they turn around and offer a SUPER EXPENSIVE hybrid 'for the masses'. Please, give me a break.
