Plug-in Prius leasing coming this year, but...
Ready to lease a plug-in Prius?Later this year Toyota will lease a number of lithium-powered plug-in Prius hybrids. Unfortunately, only 150 of them will make it to the states in the first year.
On a side note, 110,000 orders for the 2010 Prius have been placed in Japan according to the AP.

Yeeeeeah! This is actually faster than Chevy Volt.
Only 150 of them though. When Toyota is willing to lease, minimally, a few thousand of these per month, then I'll get excited. For now, it's a step, but not a very big step.
They might sell them after that. I do not think they will increase the number of leased vehicles. But we'll see!
