Fusion hybrid priced right?
$27,270The new Ford Fusion hybrid is 8 miles per gallon more fuel efficient than the Toyota Camry hybrid in city traffic, but it will also cost over $1,000 more than the Camry hybrid.
According to the EPA, the $27,270 Fusion hybrid achieves 41 miles per gallon in the city and the 36 on the highway. The $26,150 Camry hybrid achieves 33 mpg in the city and 34 on the highway.
Is the Fusion hybrid worth the extra cost compared to the Camry hybrid, purely in terms of fuel economy? Not necessarily, especially for highway drivers. For city drivers, however, the Fusion hybrid makes a compelling case. Of course, hybrid tax credits are still available for the Fusion hybrid, so this price difference is currently less relevant.
Regardless, the Fusion hybrid is a pretty impressive offering from Ford. Now, if only they could start seriously ramping up yearly production of their hybrid cars.

I would never pay that much for a Ford. People can say whatever they want to me regarding that. The quality isn't there. Period.
Noz clearly is not doing his/her homework regarding that. Period.
Ford has been best in class in electrical for 3 years in a row and is statistically tied with Toyota on overall. Most problems on vehicles today occur in electrical. Toyota may catch up to Ford in electrical quality one day, but for now Toyota electrical quality just isn't there. Period.
person living in present-
c'mon. Consumer Reports? Hello? Toyota and Lexus dominated the list compared to Ford
Ford has made a lot of gains, especially since Mulally took over, but let's get real. Such comments are just silly.
Nonetheless, if I were comparing the Fusion hybrid and the Camry hybrid today, I'd probably go with the Fusion hybrid.
Of course, I probably wouldn't be able to find one since Ford is only planning about 25,000 of them.

I'm doing my homework fine thanks.
