iMiev: an intriguing size - mobile
Before today I had only seen the Mitsubishi iMiev in pictures. I didn't realize how small it was until I got next to it. However, inside it still feels quite roomy - even in the back seat.
Compared to the Mini E, I'd much rather have the iMiev - for the extra seating.
Unfortunately, the range of around 100 miles - in perfect world conditions - is unacceptable for me. Yet, I find the iMiev's microcar size and feel - much like Smart - compelling.
Makes you realize just how wasteful the auto industry has become.

I would love one. 100 miles covers nearly every day of my life.
what's the most you'd pay for such a vehicle, knowing this is smaller and less comfortable than a conventional vehicle?
also, remember that is 100 miles perfect world. high AC use, quick acceleration, hills, etc could drop range as much as 50 percent or more according to many battery experts.
50 miles in LA isn't enough for many of trips. and what if you forget to plug-in one night?
that kind of range anxiety means range needs to be about 200 miles or more - at least if it's an every day car. if you can afford multiple cars, then this could work.
