Consumers ready for hybrids
Ford's first hybrid car at the LA Auto ShowAmericans want hybrid cars. That's the result of a recent survey according to GreenCarCongress.
Two thirds of Americans, despite declining gas prices, are interested in making their next auto purchase a hybrid. Even more interesting, most consumers aren't sure that hybrids are as reliable or comfortable as conventional vehicles, yet they are still interested.
In fact, consumers would like to trade in their gas guzzlers for hybrid vehicles, but they can't afford to make the move.
Sadly, even if these consumers could afford to trade in guzzlers for hybrids, there wouldn't be enough available, and their won't be for many years.

The automakers have people where they want them.
They play on peoples' weaknesses, concerns, ignorance.
They have built an infrastructure that has been pushed and paid for by oil companies, construction companies and a bunch of pussies and crooks that we are too dumb to kick out of office.
We're screwed folks....we should 50 years ahead of where we are...instead greed, corruption, and lack of any vision has created a society on liquid crack.
And nothing will change until we change ourselves....no matter how many times people like Obama preach this change BS.
But don't you think we're more ready for change than we have been for some time? i'm not saying a new world order is around the corner, but there does some to be some change mojo in the air.
I agree...WE want change...but since when did what WE want matter? Right?
The real change has to begin with US...not them. Only then will they change.
Agreed. But it has to start somewhere.
Still, no doubt it's going to be a battle. Some will never change.
