Canada afraid Obama serious about ending foreign oil dependency?

Oh so green, Canada?

For years the US has been the big anti-environmentalist bully on the block, choosing to ignore Kyoto, for instance, to protect our economy. With President Elect Barack Obama preparing to take over the White House, some of our critics are now worried we might fight foreign oil dependency and global warming a little to quickly.

Canada, one of our drug dealers - I mean oil suppliers - is afraid that an Obama Presidency could hurt Canada's oil sands projects - and the Canadian economy. Isn't that ironic?

It's about time Canadians puckered up and learned to use their resources wisely too.

I'd like to live in Canada...but select parts...the middle...like the middle of the US...is filled with idiots.

there are a lot of rednecks in many parts of the midwest, but i drove through this area this summer and i was shocked at how much more environmentally aware people were there compared to LA.

Of course, LA might not be full of rednecks, but we still have plenty of idiots living here.

How can you call us a "drug dealer" when we give you our oil for next to nothing?

I'm betting you didn't know that we pay pretty much double for gas here than you do in the USA.

Isn't that what a drug dealer does?

Still, listen, I'm not really trying to criticize Canada. It's not so much that you act like drug-dealers, but that we, in America, act like drug addicts with our gasoline addiction.

Well, at least your partially right, Dahcredyns.

It's a well documented fact that America uses more oil than any other nation in the world, even though America's population is very small in comparison.

Your attitude, ignorance and selfishness is wide spread across America, when it comes to Canada, or any other nation that you depend on.

Bite the hand that feeds you and then wonder why the world despises you.

Be proud, Dahcredyns, for you live in the late great USA.

The world has been more dependent upon America, including Canada, especially the American consumer, then we've been on them. So, I don't know what you're talking about.

Any economist will tell you that America has been the engine of global growth. So, who is biting whose hand?

Still, I don't play that nationalism bullshit.

My family comes from multiple cultures, countries and continents.

We live in an interconnected world that is becoming ever more interconnected and things like country are eventually going to become irrelevant if this planet is to survive.

So, I could really give a crap about country. It's people and ideas that matter, not arbitrary borders.

You're falling into the same trap America has fallen into. You're completely dependent on exporting oil.

You guys better shape up and think of other ways to support your country because let me tell you, the US won't hesitate to fuck Canada over...you can be sure of that.

I'm saying it for your own country's good. But with idiots like Bernie Farber lobbying and other tards like your PM acting like a neocon freak, I'm afraid you guys are as screwed as we are for now.

But people like David Sanborn Scott have a good idea where your country's future should lie....read his book sometime.
