The gas engine kicks in at about 10mph. I can't get the electric to stay on past 10mph, and I am barely accelerating. Forget about seeing 30mph. Any reason as to why?
With the weight of the vehicle, I think it would take absolutely optimal conditions to stay in EV mode for very long at all, regardless of how quickly you accelerate.
Despite this concern, what kind of fuel economy are you achieving? Do you like the vehicle?
