Prius Most Reliable according to JD Power

How much value is there in reliability?

Recently I had to laugh at an article in Edmunds that called a Honda Fit base model a better deal than a base Toyota Prius, despite the fact the Fit didn't even include features such as cruise control. Instead, because the Fit was cheaper than the Prius, it was a better deal. The fact that the Prius came with so much more than the Fit didn't matter, as if extra features don't have either costs or value.

That's how Edmund's compares cars? Wow. So, I guess that fact that JD Power again found the Prius to be the most reliable compact has no value to Edmunds either?

Likewise, the critics of hybrid cars love to suggest that the Prius, apart from the Hybrid Synergy Drive, is cheap. Well, how is such a cheaply made car so reliable?

Why do you honestly waste your time with those morons over there on Edmunds? They seriously are a bunch of geriatric idiots.

That racist, xenophobic idiot Karl was a prime example of what sort of "good" old boys populate that douchebaggery of journalistic crap.

I bet a few assholes are burning over there right now thanks to JD.

Well, in this example, I'd say Edmunds walked right into it, and I like to point that out. So, that's why I keep checking them out. Plus, it's good to stay tuned to those whom with which you disagree.

Still, such stories are disappointing. All one can assume is that Edmunds chooses to say some stupid things because it drives traffic and, therefore, ad revenue.

I agree with you....you need to keep tabs on their stupidity.

But I think this type of journalism has given us a real glimpse of who the people at Edmunds really are.

With that said, listening to and reading Edmunds is equivalent to listening to and watching Bill O'Reilly.

And Edmunds isn't nearly as bad as some of the other mainstream auto mags.

That's why I don't read any of them....CD, MT, RT...very poor journalism...and total waste of paper.
