Bush takes credit for US hybrid sales

OK, I'm exaggerating, a little - maybe?

While calling for America to move to electric vehicles like the Chevy Volt, George Bush took some credit for current US hybrid vehicle sales.

"When I was first elected, there were virtually no hybrids on the roads. Today there is nearly a million. We're also investing in plug-in hybrids," Bush said. "And that day is coming."

I hate getting too political - most politicians are jackasses, regardless of party, but what a turd. Bush had the pulpit to make foreign oil dependency a real issue, a challenge to America to act, instead, he acted like Congress - talked a lot, spent a lot, accomplished little - maybe?
