These are the only types of cars that truly make sense for city driving.
Working near La Canada, CA, I see these stupid soccer moms running around in Denalis, Escalades, etc...all by themselves or perhaps with one kid. Arrogant as ever with their cell phones glued to their heads driving around a 6000lb vehicle.
Let's just think about that logically for a moment.
I've always been an advocate for SMALL cars to be hybrids...a VW GTI, Nissan Sentra, Renault Clio (oh how nice it would be to get one of these here), MINI Cooper.
How sweet would it be to drive a hybrid one of the aboves??
I know that La Canada type all too well.
However, in my neighborhood, Highland Park, CA, I have twenty-something, wanna-be, gangsters driving around in Tahoes and Escalades with thousands of dollars worth of rims even though they work at McDonalds and live in their Mom's garage.
But back to small hybrids. I'm hoping that Toyota comes out with a 'city prius' - a smaller, cheaper Prius that has been discussed as a possibility in the past.
From your list, I think a mini cooper hybrid would probably be what i'd want most.
