Is the green movement a zealot-driven jihad?

Green critic John McCormick claims the green movement has turned into a jihad

"If reducing CO2 output is the name of the game -- and let's remember that no-one has proved that man-made CO2 has anything to do with the earth's natural warming trend ....," John McCormick states as he attacks the green movement's jihad against fuel inefficiency in today's DetroitNews.

Perhaps nature is solely responsible for global warming, an unlikely possibility. So what? Does that make foreign oil dependency any less of a threat to national security? Read more....

This guy is a nit wit. I'm so tired of people that have 100 percent confidence that man isn't causing global warming when the preponderance of evidence overwhelmingly suggests man does have a role.

Have any of these critics actually taken an objective look at the bulk of the data, or just the few pieces of research calling into question man's role? I guess the answer to that question is obvious.

The jihadist ecofreaks are about to reach their goal of stamping out humans. With so much of our food crop being diverted to bifuels the cost of food is already climbing, which will lead to more starvation in poorer countrys. But at least the last thing the dying will see is blue skies.

You concentrate on the ecofreaks but what about the other side who have already done enough damage? This doesn't seem to phase anyone?

No one seems to mind we'll run out of fossil fuels soon does it? Or that we're destroying precious rain forest to clear for cattle and livestock feeding does it? Or the host of other ludicrously stupid and retarded things humans are doing right now does it?

Nah...none of that matters...just the ecofreaks.

Human logic at its best.

Oh and biofuels? Hmmmm..the push for this wasn't by ecofreaks..it was by governmental, oil, and automotive agencies and lobbies. Funny...as it turns out, biofuels from corn are no better...how about that?

Who do you think benefits from FOOD crop being changed fuel? People? Or the agencies that regulate them and grow them and distribute them?

Better ecofreaks than warmongers....but in this country I can understand why you'd just rather kill.

Thomas Friedman thinks that green technology will be the solution to problem of global warming, and it will be good for capitalism to boot. Do you agree? I write about this at peoplepowergranny.blogspot.com. You can vote in my poll on this, as well.
