Diesel hybrid truck from India in US in 2010
Mahindra plans to bring hybrids to AmericaIn 2009 Indian automaker Mahindra will begin selling a diesel pickup truck with a diesel hybrid version to follow the next year. The diesel version is expected to achieve 30-35 mpg while offering a 2,600 payload and 7.5-foot bed. Estimated price is $22,000.

Sounds like Hyundai in the 80's. They were poor quality until at least 10 years after their introduction here in the U.S.
