Toyota Motor hybrid sales up 44 percent

Prius sales up almost 70 percent compared to 2006

Toyota Motor Sales sold 277,750 hybrid vehicles in 2007, a 44 percent improvement compared to 2006. Led by the Toyota Prius, which achieved sales of 181,221 units in 2006, Toyota had its best ever year of sales.
