Hybrid vehicles are not defined by the Prius

The hybrid revolution has not even begun

I am so bored by tired studies regarding hybrid vehicles, such as those often done by J.D. Power. Blah, blah, blah.

If you believe J.D. Power, interest in hybrids is waning, only the Toyota Prius can sell - blah, blah, blah.

Hybrids are the future. End of story.

Yes, hybrids will probably morph into plug-in hybrids, while helping to develop full electric vehicles, but the internal combustion engine - as the lone source of automotive power - is already dead. The longer any automotive-related company tries to deny this inevitability, the less chance they have of future success.

Hybrid hype? Yeah, whatever!

How long did it take the automobile to overtake the horse and buggy as the primary mode of transportation in America? Give me a break!

While it won't take hybrids and electric vehicles as long to replace the internal combustion engine in America as it took horsepower to replace horses, it will take time. Ultimately, the electrification of the automobile's drivetrain is ABSOLUTELY inevitable. Inevitable!

Clean diesel isn't going to change that. Nor is biodiesel or ethanol. Not even hydrogen.

The hybrid revolution is inevitable. Deal with it!
