Hybrids dominate Challenge X

The future really is hybrid?

Mississippi State University won GM's Third Annual Challenge X competition - a competition featuring alternative powertrains. The winning entry was a biodiesel hybrid vehicle. The University of Wisconsin came in second with a similar type of hybrid vehicle. The contest also featured a plug-in hybrid, built by the University of California - Davis, but that vehicle came in second to last.
