According to some other posts I've read, the Girasole retails for $18,000, which makes far more sense. Still, the story on Yahoo stated 2.2 million.

I don't think 2.2 million yen converts into $18,000 u.s. Still, it would be an interesting city car at $18,000.

I was just wondering exactly that...2.2 million?!!!! Mama Mia! It looks like the "SmartCar". I wonder why it's called the "Girasole" which is Italian for sunflower. Do you know?

The future looks promising, but the scare of a 2.2 million dollar price seems a bit outlandish, that is until you realize that it is in yen.
