I am, and its driving me crazy!
I am having problems with the radio and entire center panel on my 2004 Toyota Prius, and it's driving me crazy also! It cycles itself off/on randomly, the climate setting cycles when it wants to, and the panel buttons and display respond sluggishly at times. Anyone else?
The same thing is happening to my radio and control panel, and the Toyota dealer wants 80 bucks just to diagnose the problem. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this?
I have a 2008 Prius with 6850 mi. On three separate occasions my radio volume control has stopping functioning. It seems like maybe when I stop or go over a bump it starts working again. I assume the dealer won't be able to find a problem unless it's not working at the time I take it in. Anyone else having this problem? If so, what did you / dealer do?
My 2007 Prius radio just died.
Power turns on, but nothing functions correctly and there is zero output. Was driving on a bumpy road with the volume up at the time. Really load explosion-like sound and then that was it.
I took it in to Toyota, they offered a refurbed radio - but I'm not convinced that it won't happen again two years later. WHY DO THEY HAVE REFURBED RADIOS??? This must be a problem that they are encountering frequently. The guy tried to tell me that it just happens sometimes "'cause they run hot maybe". Design problem in my opinion. It wasn't a hot day and I didn't have the heater running. Two years is not long enough for a factory radio to live. Unfortunately - too many miles for warantee coverage - but now I'm mad.
My 2006 Prius has had multiple occurences of radio and cd volume increasing and decreasing when accelerating or braking. Sometimes the volume button doesn't respond. The dealership said nothing is wrong.
2006 Prius - radio, cd, serius will suddenly stop working. screen remains on but, the rectangles where the presets should be displayed are empty. Usualy, pulling over and turning the car off for a few minutes fixes the issue. toyota replaced the radio 2 times, but did not solve the problem. this has been going on since the car was a few months old. toyota seems to not care about it at all now. i may try a dealer other than the one in torrance. i see why owners are so upset with them.
my 2004 prius is doing the same thing, the radio turns off and the climax changes too. I am scared that the battery is going to die and something might happen. Are they linked or no?
