Toyota Prius hybrid car price increase

The king of hybrid cars, the Toyota Prius, will have its price increased $490 starting in 2006. Thus, the base price of 2006 Prius will be $22,305, according to AutoWeek. Of course, finding a 2005 Prius is probably impossible for most. Once again, the Prius is on a several week backlog. So, even if you put down money on a Prius today, it will still be several weeks before you can pick up your Prius, and if you are picky about package, color, etc. the wait could be much longer.
